It's been a rainy week, thus far, but the Caterpillars have managed to go outside and play every chance they get.
This morning they were again up at 6:15 a.m. Luckily, PBS has excellent cartoons on early in the morning, so I shuttled them into the living room in an effort not to wake Granddaddy.
We had breakfast, then dressed quickly to drive out and visit Tiney and Yaya - my other two great-Aunts. They had been to a fair the day before, and had many small items that they wanted to give the Caterpillars. I don't think B10 and CW quite understood, but they gladly bagged the pens, pencils, and mugs to take home.

With the sky still cloudy, and a haze of rain coming down, we moved on to the Agriculture Museum. While we only were able to do the inside, they loved it. Especially this new train display, that was still be worked on.
Twice, they said they were ready to leave, but when we walked passed the display they were enthralled for another 20 minutes each time! (Granddaddy enjoyed it very much, also.)
We ate lunch at the Museum Cafe, a homestyle buffet where I pulled chicken off a bone for my Caterpillars to eat. (Yes, I PULLED the chicken OFF the bone for them - No, I didn't eat it - I had country fried steak.)
Then it was naptime. I had figured the Caterpillars were tired, they finished their schoolwork, but were getting to that slightly grumpy stage. We laid down at the house, and both were out within 15 minutes. Zipper was even waiting on CW's pillow for him to arrive!
I was able to get in a good nap, too, before waking up to the realization that last night the DishTV just wasn't turned on, and that's why were were only getting 6 channels. The Caterpillars rolled out of bed to sit on the sofa and watch DIY Network - before heading outside (YAY for rain stopping!) to play.
After dinner, we went to the movies. A special vacation treat - and one that doesn't depend on the weather!
