A Favorite Memory

I was searching through my old folders on my computer, trying to sort out all the pictures that I had uploaded in the last 2 years, when I found a folder containing this picture:

This is a picture from the night I was "Honorary Team Captain" for the Atlanta Braves. I had won the opprotunity to go out on the field that night and it was my responsibility to hand the Red's Coach our team roster. Then he handed me the Red's roster and I gave that to the Braves Coach.

The best part was when all the umps and the two coaches started talking, after admonishing me that I wasn't allowed to tell what they were saying to anyone. (It's been 18 months and my lips are still sealed!) ;)

They were all such great, very nice guys who made it one of my favorite memories of 2006.

After this was over - I got to watch the game from awesome seats with Boo, Firefighter, and one of my closest friends. And there was popcorn. Popcorn at the ballfield makes it even better.

Snow? HERE?

But it was 70 degrees earlier this week!

They threatened the snow, but we didn't belive them! Yet, here it appears...

Late Wednesday Evening the snow began to fall. We had already decided not to go to church, due to the icy road conditions and I've been so tired lately that I was concerned about driving with them in the car.

We were sitting at the table eating dinner when they saw it start, and I let them run around outside for about ten minutes. They were in heaven! :)

I think my favorite is the rogue snowflake that is close to the lens, and with the flash casts a huge shadow on CW's face. And all the little snowflakes that gathered on B-10's freshly shaven head.

Then they came inside and took warm baths before Reading Time.

Sadly, the snow was gone this morning, melted into puddles all over the yard. At least I felt safe driving to work.

May you be blessed with your favorite weather this week, wherever you are.
