A couple of Wednesdays ago, B10 and CW were suppose to have a history class at the local History Museum. When we arrived, we found out the class had been canceled.

Two rather disappointed Caterpillars, Cookie and I hung out at the museum for a few minutes - looking at the military history display of people from our county who have served in various branches.

Mum and I were trying to figure out something special for them to do and hit upon taking them to the local "Paint-Your-Own-Pottery" place and allowing them to each create a piece of work. It was so nice to have the place totally to ourselves.
B10 chose to paint a cobra (who is surprised?), while CW found a kitten to paint (again, who out there who knows my Caterpillars is surprised?).

Mum also picked out something, a beautiful platter that matches her front sitting room.

I decided to make a food dish for Bathsheba, one that would match our bathroom where her food and water dishes are kept.

It was a great morning, especially being so spur of the moment. Mum took the Caterpillars today to pick up their items (it takes a little over a week to fire and finish the pieces). They were so proud of the finished pieces. We'll be doing this again for Art Class!

That sounds like a lot of fun...we will have to give it a try. Do you have pictures of them finished?
