Pumpkin Patch Festival

Edelweiss and I both had today off (she's worked all those extra hours, just like I did) and we decided to go to a local area attraction (the big carved rock) with the Caterpillars and hang out.

B10 finished all his schoolwork before 10 am, and CW has been done with all his schoolwork since Wednesday. We ended up eating lunch at the park, which included fried dill pickles and was delightful, then we all headed to the Pumpkin Patch Maze.

The maze itself wasn't to difficult, as Edelweiss and I followed behind the trio of explorers snapping photos along the way.
It was the end of the maze which was entirely too cool for words.
That's just water, with a safe chemical added to break it down, no soapish type things involved.

The Caterpillars and LG scooped and threw and ran around until all the foamyness was gone.

But wait! Then came more!

B10 ducked down in it and was soaked (because it's just water, remember) for the entire part of our next adventure. The Train Ride.
LG and CW were THRILLED! I ended up sitting with B10 and Edelweiss sat on the bench seat in front of the youngest boys as we rode on the 4 mile track around the hunk o'rock.

Then it was one last photo op, before heading back to the car for snack (peach yogurt) and then home to rest.
B10 is spending the night with BooSheep and Cookie - BooSheep is having a Garage Sale tomorrow, and part of B10's Bear Cub Scout path is to help someone with a Garage Sale. So he's going with his Cub Scout T-shirt and hat to work with Cookie and help BooSheep.

He was super eager to be given the chance to do "grown-up" work.

So - CW and I will have a quiet night - Hubby will likely be studying for his CPA exam. I've been craving Chinese Food, maybe I'll take CW out on a "date" to have some at our favorite Chinese resturant.

Yum....now that sounds delicious!

I love fall! The foam stuff looks interesting...we are planning to take Little Sheep one day when Hubby is off work. I am glad the boys had fun!

P.S. I can't believe how big the boys look in pictures... esp. B-10. They are growing up so fast. I am pretty sure B-10 will be taller than me in the next year or two!
