Homeschool Field Trip to Washington, D.C. - Night One

Monday, April 20, 2009

I've been planning a "field trip/vacation" to Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area for a month or so. Hubby's brother and sister-in-law (the Garden family) live up there and have a place for us to stay.

We loaded up the car during the day and after Girl Scouts got on the road. My plan was to drive until I got tired (or GO needed to eat), rest at a rest stop, then continue on.

It worked perfectly and I ended up driving until the last bit of North Carolina (when I stopped for about 2.5 hours from 2:30 am to 5 am). Much easier than I could have imagined with three Caterpillars in the car!

Tomorrow we make it to Virginia!
