Let's see if Daddy likes Madonna this much when she's older...

We had a lovely evening dessert at the new Rita's that just opened. The Caterpillars had been given coupons at church, so we invited the Royals to come and eat with us.

I LOVE Italian Ice, especially because it's a place where I can enjoy dessert without making myself sick (oh, those pesky milk allergies!).

After dessert we went over to the Royals' house, where Prince and Princess had cleaned the living room. This meant the Caterpillars got to play the new Wii!

Queen and I left Hubby and King in charge and went out for a Segeway ride around the neighborhood.

Then it was relatively early to bed, since tomorrow we go visit Hubby at work! (Then another week of camp starts!)

...Hubby likes to sing "I wear my sunglasses at night"...

It's Uncle Sheep!

So, today my Girl Scouts went to my brother-in-law - Uncle Sheep's - fire station. This is not to be confused with my OTHER brother-in-law (Uncle Firefighter).

When the girls sold cookies, people had the option of purchasing cookies for the firefighters. Today we went to the station to deliver them and take tour.
Uncle Sheep is amazing at talking to the kids. When B10 was little, Uncle Sheep came out to his preschool and talked to the itty-bitties.

However, I think the adults who were there thought it was just as cool as the kids did!

Hubby enjoyed playing with GO on her first trip to the fire station.

THANK YOU Uncle Sheep!

Girl Scout Shirts

Two of the girls in my troop came over today to work on making Girl Scout shirts for all the girls. Princess had a great time and the newest Girl Scout helped her tons.

Queen found this cool tie-dye recipe using Kool-Aid and vinegar. The colors were SO vibrant!

And we put the colors in squirt bottles, which were easy for the 5-6 year old hands to work.

GO sat with Queen, which is Queen's favorite place for GO to be. ;)
We also worked on a sheet of muslin for a Troop Flag.

I'm really hoping to have more hands-on stuff for the girls this year, I think it'll be great! (I LOVE my girls!)

Final Day of Cub Scout Camp

Today was the Caterpillars last day of Cub Scout Day Camp. They each signed a "thank you" card for their den leader (the moms who spent the entire week taking them from station to station) and got the nice (wonderful, amazing, kind) ladies a bouquet of flowers.

At 2 p.m. the Cub Scouts were having a closing cermony where they would "show off" all the things they had done this week.
CW's group went second. There were at least 15 boys, and CW had a couple of line in the skit. I was so proud of how well he did! (It was a cute skit about fishing and keeping the worms warm in your mouth!)

B10's group went last (he was with the oldest boys), and he got up on stage and said a joke all by himself. I love that he's confident enough to do that.

(His joke: Why did the chicken cross the road, roll in the mud, then cross the road again? Because he was a dirty double-crosser!)

GO sat on my lap in the beginning, then moved to Cookie's lap so I could take pictures of the boys.
I know I take a lot of pictures of her, but she's changing every day. I wish I had taken more pictures of B10 and CW when they were this age. That being said, without further ado - the many faces of GO:

Camp was awesome. I can't believe we start it all again next week!

Pruney-McPrune

So, after 3 days of pretty disastrous sweet potatoes, we moved on to prunes.

Still not our favorite, but she seemed to enjoy it more than the sweet potatoes.

I know it doesn't look like it, but more went in her mouth than on her tummy!

Tennis Shoes?

Not that we are picking up a Tennis Racket anytime soon, but I was really excited that she was able to wear her shoes for the first time today.

They are the same beige sneakers that both B10 and CW wore when they were little.

And they matched her little green dress, so cute! (B10 and CW did NOT wear the cute green dress, mind you...)

We stopped by to see Baby Sheep and Cookie, after we dropped off the Caterpillars at Cub Scout Camp.

Baby Sheep was tired, but we enjoyed seeing her for just a moment, before we headed out.

Call them what you will, to B10 it's just another critter to grab.

What's This???

Somebody has started taking naps in her crib!

It's not a perfect solution, because she's still in her swing with the hair dryer on at night, but at least we are moving in the direction of her sleeping in her own room.

See how happy she can be!

I'm not one to push her (or Hubby and I) to sleep on her own if she's not ready. Especially since we are still trying to feed her every time she wakes up. But if she can spends naps in her crib and then her first "nighttime" block (from 9:00 pm-midnight, when Hubby and I are watching TV) there, then maybe we can set the pattern for later.

Visiting Cousins

Monday, June 1, 2009

The Caterpillars had Cub Scout Camp at a church on the Main Street in the town that BooSheep lives in. We went out early today, so we could visit with our Sheepy Cousins before camp.

They loved taking pictures.

Little Sheep even asked if we could take a picture together.

Cookie came with all of us out to Target (we all needed to get diapers and such...GO got her first pair of sunglasses).

BooSheep had a desire for Chili's for lunch. Normally, I'm not a fan, but she reccommended a mini-burger-bite meal, which totally exceeded my expectations.

It was a great day hanging with the cousins - even if you can't tell it by Baby Sheep's expression!
