Feeding the Ducks & Geese

 Near our house we have a small park with a pond where plenty of geese and ducks live.  Occasionally, when bread goes bad in our house, we go out and feed the fowl.

Today was one such day (bread seems to rarely go bad when B10 and CW are home!) - so Aunt K took my camera and we went down to the pond to take a few pictures and feed the animals.

GO loved watching them come close to her, then run away.

She kept calling for them and trying to hug them!

Hubby met us at the pond, so we got a few pictures of him, too.

Sweet Treats

I found a great recipe on a blog I read. (Of a person I actually KNOW - how weird is that?)  Aunt K and Uncle Batman came over to help us try it out.

The boy Caterpillars are visiting their dad, but GO was quite excited to participate in the snack making!

We made pie pockets - full of jam and peanut butter (each person was able to personalize their treats).

This is GO signing "More Peanut Butter, Uncle Batman".

And he lovingly obliged, repeatedly.  :)

Until I said - "Don't let her stick her finger in the jar!"

And this is what happened:

Aunt K couldn't stop giggling.

The pie pocket people were DELICIOUS!  We will have to make them again when B10 and CW are home.

I love spending time with the Kuddeths!

Ping-Pong Ball

B10 caught GO trying to eat a Ping-Pong ball and after we established that it wouldn't fit down her throat, we couldn't stop laughing at the faces she made when she had it in her mouth!

She would SCREAM when B10 would take it out of her hands!

Baby Bunny

So we have a baby bunny living in our yard!  He doesn't seem to have any other relatives or friends, and he hops between the side bushes and the big bushes in our front yard.

I love his little twitchy nose!  B10 loves sitting on the front steps and watching him quietly.  I hope he enjoys the whole summer at our house!

Walking?

Guess who's walking and getting into EVERYTHING?

Yep - meet Miss Trouble, formerly known as "GO".  Miss Trouble is most definitely a more accurate name now!

She likes to open cabients, yank things off bookshelves, destroy Lego creations - anything and everything you want her NOT to do.

Even with the trouble - it's so FUN!  :)

The New Playground

We spent today at a new playground with the Sheeps. BooSheep had tried it out once before (there are two geocaches there! - we only found one so far, though) and we all really enjoyed it.

The huge Treehouse was three stories tall with beautiful slides. And there were a ton of other new types of toys - some even Boo and I hadn't seen before!

We had a picnic in the large pavilion (with both adult and kid-size picnic tables).

Baby Sheep and GO shared a swing and enjoyed seeing each other.

Boo and I sat on the lowest level of the Treehouse with the baby girls, while the boys played around us.

It was a great morning! I love spending time with the Sheeps.

Church Blast-Off

Our Church had their "Blast-Off" for the Wednesday Night Activities tonight. Both Caterpillars made rockets to have shot into the air.

CW went first and LOVED seeing his rocket shoot across the field and towards some people. (Luckily, no one was injured.) B10's went up into the air, and I caught the really cool photo of it with an airplane. (One of those - totally random but awesome - shots.)

The Bubble-Man was out, letting everyone play with huge and tiny bubble wands.

Plus, there was juice and ice-pops to go around. GO hung out with Cookie and watched the commotion. It's hard to imagine she'll be in the middle of it next year!

Redoing a Room

So-B10 and CW decided they didn't want bunk beds anymore. Since they had them for over 5 years (and both Caterpillars had a turn sleeping on the top), I decided it was time to rearrange their room.

Cookie and I started early and it only took one day to completely redo it all! Everything had to be moved around, including the TV/DVR set.

(Before)

BUT - now it's done and organized. It actually gave them more space, because more stuff can be stored under the bed. Plus, we were able to remove a chest of drawers.

(After)

GO is enjoying laying on CW's bed (because of the railing, she can just wiggle around and play).

We also found out that B10 basically had no clothes...at all...he had outgrown pretty much everything, so Cookie and I also had to run to Target to purchase something to cover his bum!

Overall, I'm really pleased with how it looks! Now, let's see if it's any easier for them to keep it clean!

Another Room Bites the Dust

Mum came over and helped me finish another room today - I can't imagine doing everything by myself!

The good news is that the pantry is still in pristine condition, so I have high hopes for the garage.
