Today Granddaddy went to work, so Minnie Mouse and I talked about what we wanted to do this morning. We decided to take the Caterpillars to the local children's museum: Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.

The first thing we did was watch a "Space Theatre" show. It was interesting, not the best - but it seemed to Minnie Mouse and I as if it were his first day on the job.

The special exhibit is about Dragons - which the Caterpillars ADORED.

There was an evil dragon side -

And a good dragon side -

My favorite was the dragon-sized Emory board and Oral-D toothbrush. (Even dragons need good hygiene!)
There was a beautiful touch pool and B10 was able to touch an actual sea anemone.
The hands on sections were awesome. CW found a bulldozer and B10 (no surprisingly) found an entire vet's office to play in.

B10 also was excited when he found a scout uniform, with the Ohio patch.

There was also a beautiful treehouse that the Caterpillars enjoyed.

Before we left we had to stop at the otters, Shiloh and Sushi. It was their feeding time, and while I couldn't get any great pictures - it was one of my favorite parts!

We headed home (where the Caterpillars played more board games and read their books) and after going out to a wonderful Italian restaurant for dinner, they all piled on the sofa with Granddaddy to watch So You Think You Can Dance.
I had to wrap them like burritos to keep them still by the end of the show!
Then B10 and CW headed to bed, while GO and I prepared to ride with Granddaddy to pick up Hubby from the airport. Traffic was crazy because of construction, but we got him home safe and sound a little before 1 a.m.

And having the whole family together for vacation made Wednesday the best day so far!

Granddaddy took off from work today (and went out to get us Bagels for breakfast!), so we could do some geocaching. The Caterpillars really enjoy using the GPS devices and Granddaddy and I put together his old GPS, plus our GPS, so B10 and CW could each use one.

We headed out in two vehicles (CW rode with Granddaddy in his truck - B10 and GO rode with Minnie Mouse and I in her car).
We had SUCH a great time. There were a few parks where we looked for multiple caches - and GO enjoyed laying on Minnie Mouse and napping during those stops.

Lunch was at this great dairy, they make all their own ice cream and the food is delicious. You can just see GO wanting to take a bite of Granddaddy's BBQ sandwich!

The farm had all sorts of adorable baby animals, including the baby goats that had to be less than a week old.

GO laid on Minnie Mouse, but didn't sleep - she was fascinated watching her brothers play.

We did more geocaching after lunch, including one at this beautiful small park. It is dedicated to women - all women (mothers, famous women, sisters, friends).

Our final cache to search for was out in the woods, GO enjoyed walking with her Granddaddy!

It was a good day outside and the Caterpillars were worn out. We played a few board games after dinner, then it was into bed.

CW was up first today, way before 7 a.m. - when GO and I came out of our bedroom at 8 a.m. (when I expected to have to wake up the other Caterpillars) - they were already eating breakfast!

We decided to spend the morning visiting one of the three main hangars at the US Air Force Museum (on Wright-Patterson AFB).
The Caterpillars loved seeing the big planes - and Minnie Mouse and I learned a few new things, too!
GO was such a happy girl today! (This is one of my favorite of her outfits.)

Minnie Mouse had turkey and chicken at home for sandwiches, which the Caterpillars enjoyed - because it meant they got pickles (and they LOVE the mini-Claussin pickles that Minnie Mouse buys).

After lunch we headed out to the Wright Brother's Bicycle Shop. It was such a cool National Historic Site, with all sorts of interesting things to see. The Caterpillars began working on their Junior Ranger badges - but we'll have to mail them back in July.

We headed home to play board games (Blokus is by FAR my favorite new board game) and get supper ready for Granddaddy. CW loved making shapes with the Blokus board, which is really good for his math skills.
After dinner Minnie Mouse let the Caterpillars put on their swimsuits and play on the fun blue water ball she had gotten for them.

It wore them out! I let B10 start reading his newest book and then they all headed to bed after having a great Monday!
