Planting Flowers

Since B10 and CW were gone, we decided to spend this morning with Dixie and Frank.  They invited us over for brunch, and then we headed out to the Worm Depot (Go Slimey!) to pick up some plants for their front yard.

GO took a ride on her Daddy's shoulders, one of her favorite places to be!  See that smile?

After Frank tilled up the flower garden area, Dixie and I got to work planting the flowers she had chosen.

Hubby enjoyed taking pictures with GO at his side.

We had a pleasant day and got the entire front flowerbed pretty close to done (Frank and Dixie were picking up a few more Creeping Phlox to go in the corners when they returned the tillers).

It was a pretty day with friends and it felt so great to be useful!

Snow Day!

Dixie took off work today, and we had made plans to go see Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightening Thief (EXCELLENT - BTW).

When she arrived, the snow had just started falling.

By the time we got out of the movie and got home, there was a nice layer on the ground.

At bedtime, the snow had gotten pretty thick.  We snuggled down and watched the Opening of the Winter Olympics, with a bit of "Undercover Boss" (excellent show!).

This morning, the snow was even thicker, and we let B10 and CW go out and play.

Hubby went out to take pictures and have a small snowball fight with the boys.

It doesn't snow often here, but it is so beautiful when it does!

And we're expecting even more on Tuesday!  Keep safe everyone.

Frank & Dixie's New House!

Frank, Sr. and Dixie, Sr (not to be confused with Frank and Dixie - the Juniors who are dogs) just bought a house.  While B10 and CW were visiting their dad in Kentucky, we went over to help them do some remodeling.

The house was a rental, a beautiful 4 bedroom home, rental, that shows signs of being a rental.  Frank and Dixie really want to make it their home, and we were overjoyed to start helping!

These are the before pictures, hopefully, I'll be able to show after pictures someday before Spring.  :)

GO loved being with her Aunt Dixie and Uncle Frank.

She thought Uncle Frank was a cutie-pie!  Every time he walked into the room, she gave him sweet eyes and tried to climb into his lap.

More pictures to come - epecially after the fence is put in and the puppies and boys get to play together in the backyard!
