Christmas Card Photos

Today, we took Christmas Card photos - I can't show more than one, because then it won't be a surprise when you open your Christmas Cards, but they turned out GREAT!


I love their outfits this year - and they did so well, taking Christmas photos in 90 degree weather! (Anyone know where Fall is?)

First Day of Preschool

Today was GO's first day of preschool.  She's in a class called "Wee Learn", with Sister Sheep and her teachers: Mrs. B and Mrs. L.

I love how her backpack is as big as she is!  But she insisted on wearing it herself.  (She did leave her night-night at home - no woobies at school for big girls!)

Daddy stayed home so he could come with us the first day.  Everyone was so excited!

GO was the second one there - right after cousin Sister Sheep (who is a staff kid).  She only cried for a second, then sat down in Mrs. B's lap and there were no more tears!

When we came to pick her up, she had PASSED OUT in Mrs. L's lap!

Poor thing, she was tired after having all that fun!

I can hardly believe she's already big enough for school.  I'm so glad that we are able to send her to such a great accredited Preschool.  I know she's in loving hands every day.

Day 8

Today was our last day in Ohio with Granddaddy and Minnie Mouse.  We didn't hurry in the morning, waking up and having breakfast - then the Caterpillars played on the computer for a while.

GO went back to sleep on her Daddy's lap!

Minnie Mouse had made reservations at a really cool place called "Bounce U", where the Caterpillars could all play.

B10 and CW ran around having a blast.

And I helped GO do a few things also.

(She did enjoy the slides - the little house only held her attention for 5 minutes!)

Then we headed home to relax for a few minutes and take family photos.

Before we headed out to celebrate Hubby's Birthday for the second day in a row.  This time he chose a Mexican Restaurant to enjoy dinner at (before we would head home and eat more of the cake)!

For some reason GO's naps were messed up today.  She was a pill at dinner, it was really the only time she got upset in public during the trip - but then she found the ketchup and fries!

Or that ketchup could be put in your mouth via fries-not sure many of the fries got eaten!

To end our vacation, it only seemed right that we help Granddaddy feed the birds again.

GO was very proud of carrying the peanuts all by herself.

THEN it got BETTER - Granddaddy let her eat the bird food!

B10 and CW ran around the yard, getting all their wiggles out.

Tomorrow we begin a long drive home, and drop off the boys with their Dad for three weeks.  I hope GO does okay!  (She can't really understand WHERE the "guys" disappear to!

Ohio - Day 1

We left last night after the Sheepy Celebration with the water slide and I had a wonderful drive overnight.  I love driving in the dark (and resting as I need to), but avoiding most of the traffic that hangs out on interstates when I'm trying to travel.

Today was a "resting" day at Granddaddy and Minnie Mouse's house.  I hooked up the Wii and B10/CW played that a bit.  GO played with her tea set and beach balls and we had lunch at Moe's.

We had to hang out close to the house, so Minnie Mouse could have her new fridge delivered (the old one died!).  I managed to get GO to sleep very quickly after that - and we woke up just in time for Granddaddy to get home from work.

Tonight's dinner was Bob Evans (YUM!  ROLLS!) and then Granddaddy and I took CW and GO home, while Minnie Mouse and B10 went to the grocery store to replenish the fridge/freezer food.

At home, we did the traditional "feeding of the birds" on the first day, which was fun to watch - because it's the first time GO has been old enough to "join in".

Except for when I stepped on an ant pile, it was a good moment!

After baths, Granddaddy and CW played a game, while B10 played with GO.

I finally had to drive GO around in the car (with Granddaddy) to put her to sleep.  She was out quickly (less than 15 minutes), but being in the house just seemed to distract her and keep her awake!

Tomorrow - GEOCACHING!  (Hopefully we will hit #200!)

Hanging with the Family

BooSheep asked if we could all come over for hot dogs and water sliding before the Boy Caterpillars left to visit their dad's house (and we all went to Ohio for a week).

We happily agreed and had a total blast!

Well, GO did NOT like the slide - not the first time.

Nor when B10 tried to take her down the second time!

In 100 degree heat - she was COLD!  (She's my daughter!)

Sister Sheep checked out Hubby's sunglasses.

Then lots of bubbles!  (Sister Sheep LOVES bubbles.)

The boy cousins played with water "guns" and loved the slide.

So did the big boys...

Sister Sheep tried to show GO how fun the little girl pool was...

Finally GO tried it out, but she still would rather be playing in the mud or ANYWHERE warmer than the water!
